Read MoreI wanted to improve my 2012 FLHTK Electro Glide a year after I bought it. Watching a Fix My Hog videos combined with the repair manual, I was able to upgrade the motor to a S&S 124, replace the clutch and properly adjust it. Upgrade the exhaust, improve the throttle body to 66 mm instead of 58 mm, add taller handlebars and finally tweak the HP to 140 with 140 torque. Thank you for the great videos.

Now that I have Fix My Hog it helps a lot. These two wires rubbed and burnt my stator up.
Here’s our 1987 Softail that I gave to my son and I put a stator in it. That was also an easy job

I have been an avid rider since 1977, that’s almost 40 years of street riding. I’ve ridden dirt for as long, and been on the track (asphalt road course).
This is my first Harley. Rebuilding many bikes over the years there is always a “gotcha” in the simplest of tasks. The 1998 Lowrider, needed a complete 16K service, and a set of top end gaskets. Your videos are very very helpful. I bought a membership, and watched most of the EVO related videos before even starting.
Brilliant idea setting up a webpage dedicated to video instruction of a single brand. I also own a Ducati, and wish I could find a sight like yours to service that bike.
By watching the videos, you can avoid costly mistakes, and feel very confident that you are heading in the right direction.

Essentially, your work habits have rubbed off on me: work clean and neat! :) How to dissemble and assemble a Dyna fuel tank was priceless. I stripped down my Dyna tins and headlight to paint myself, then reassembled them. Soon I will be doing my oil, transmission, and primary lubrication. As you say, use of the owner manual is “essential.”
