Shovelhead Lube and Trans Fluid
Mike RoenDescription
While the transmission fluid is draining, Mike takes the time to lubricate the motorcycle as well as perform a number of important inspections. He uses his grease gun to lubricate the rear brake pedal assembly and the swingarm. Some models will also have a grease fitting for the seat post. The jiffy stand is also lubricated at this time.
Mike inspects the front & rear suspension, oil hoses & clamps, rims, tires, and valve stems. He demonstrates cleaning the tappet screen as well as the importance of the clutch throw out bearing. As always, Fix My Hog stresses the importance of servicing your way in and out of every procedure.
