Milwaukee 8 oil drain plug location has changed but all plugs are very straight forward. The primary case drain plug is beneath the primary case. It’s easy to locate. Follow the center of the derby cover downward and find it protruding from the bottom of the inner primary case.
The transmission case drain plug is equally easy to identify. It is located on the bottom, right side of the oil pan. Follow the center of the transmission side cover downward for a reference point.
The Milwaukee 8 oil drain plug location is the only drain plug that is located on the back side of the oil pan. Find it on the back, left, side of the oil pan assembly. The three drain plugs are identical. Use a 5/8″ socket to loosen and remove all three drain plugs.
It is important to remove the oil fill plug, transmission fill plug, and derby covers as the fluids drain. If not removing immediately, be sure to leave a visible note as a reminder that the compartment is void of fluid.

Wipe up and clean the area as much as possible before moving on. It may be helpful to use a non-chlorinated aerosol brake cleaner and compressed air.
