One Response to “JIMS USA ForceFlow Engine Cooling Fan”

I have bought Jims cooling fan twice and although it does work exactly as advertised and it is the best fan out there as far as looks, I give it a flat zero for reliability. I have had nothing but electrical problems with both and after they have gotten some use, the fan start to make horrible squalling noises. Also JIMS tech support seems to be one person, a lady that is of no help . I would not recommend this product to anyone. I expect a fan mounted on the side of my moto to actually work and not just be a show peace.

What seems to be an issue with the Harley-Davidson engine is a lot of people complain about the engines running hot. This particular system from JIMS USA is what is known as the ForceFlow cylinder-head cooling fan. It contains the horn and fan unit. It comes with a complete wiring harness that interfaces into the factory harness. It also has a thermostat. At 140 degrees, when it reads off of the rocker box surface, the fan automatically kicks on with a thermostat. It's a very well-designed kit. It comes with very explicit instructions. Again, you need a service manual for your model and year specific. This kit is designed for any twin cam from 1999 and newer. Today we're gonna install it on a Road King. Again, with the use of the service manual and JIMS' instructions, always pre-fit all the components. Make sure everything is gonna line up, not contact either cylinder heads, the powder-coated finish, or cause any damage while you're riding. From here, the first thing we're gonna have to do, after we reviewed the instructions, we'll gather a handful of hand tools that are needed for the installation. First thing I'm gonna do is remove the negative cable off the battery.
