    I have a 2005 softail deluxe efi, is this the same procedure used for my bike for installing 14 in mini apes?

    I put Baby Apes on my 08 XL1200C Sportster by using your video. Very well done and APPRECIATED.! I see why it costs so much at the dealership. Took me better part of a week. BUT, I am a Disabled Nam Vet. EVERYTHING takes me 3X as long to do as before. LOL. Just wanted to say THANKS!. I have used other videos, but this one was extra good with all the details. RIDE SAFE, RIDE HARD.

    After doing the install, my right side blinkers stopped working. The running lights work fine. Did I miss a wire or maybe short or ground a wire?

With the Road King off the lift, back on the floor. Very important thing you need to do. Make sure the motorcycle has full left and full right lock. Again, the other set of eyes looking up underneath, making sure the harness travels nice and freely as the fork moves left to right. Check not only the right side, make sure you check up underneath on the left side also. Make sure your clutch cable remains adjusted in every fork position. Make sure the clutch cable doesn't kink or get bound up as you steer. We touched a lot of area on this Road King. It may seem as simple as just installing a set of handlebars, but you soon realize you're involved in the clutch drive system. You're involved in the entire front braking system, and you're also touch base with just about every electrical component on the bike by extending the control switch harness. Next in line, turn on the ignition switch. We'll check all our light functions. Low beam, high beam. We'll make sure our passing lamps are working and they do shut off on high beam. We'll also check the horn. We'll check our left and right signal. Of course, because we had the master cylinder separated from the control housing, you want to make sure the brake light actuates. Front lever and the rear lever. Next in line, once the engine light goes out, we can make sure that the rocker switch turns on and off and we'll start the motorcycle. With all the components checked and functioning correctly, I'm going to take a look outside. Check the weather. Dress accordingly. I'm ready to take this very comfortable Road King for a test drive.
