Description

In this video, we disassemble and prep for our 103 Twin Cam performance upgrades from Cobra. This upgrade includes a full Cobra exhaust system, a fuel management system, and Cobra’s Power Flow air cleaner assembly. This performance upgrade will give us increased horsepower and torque. It will also give us a different, more aggressive-sounding audible output.

Exhaust Removal

With the rider and passenger floorboards already removed, Bob and Mark walk us through a complete exhaust removal. The side cover is removed to access the O2 sensor plugs. Bob points out that exhaust mounting points, brackets, and hardware have changed a lot over the years.

Notice how and what you disassemble. The replacement exhaust may have different hardware, but it will be installed in a similar fashion.

Remove Fuel Tank

Fuel tank removal is straightforward and takes fewer steps than previous Twin Cam model years. The fuel tank was de-pressurized off-camera, allowing for the fuel feed line to be unplugged. Removal of the dash and trim piece is next, followed by loosening and finally removing the tank from the frame of the motorcycle.

Remove Air Cleaner

Finally, the stock air cleaner assembly is removed. Bob always suggests keeping your removed stock assemblies together. You may need to refer back to something, or a friend may be able to utilize something that was removed from your ride.

With the stock air cleaner and exhaust removed from this Ultra, we are ready to begin installation of a complete 103 Twin Cam performance package by Cobra.
