Transmission Not Shifting

Question for Fix My Hog About my transmission, I only have 1st, 2nd gear and neutral. On my 2007 Fatboy. I’m not real sure what the problem is.

Fix My Hog Answers Disconnect shift linkage from transmission shift arm. Raise rear wheel off the ground. If you can not shift through all gears, you will need to begin dis-assembly of your transmission. Start with your transmission top cover. This can be a good inspection point.

    I have just purchased a 2001 1200 Sportster and it runs fine but will not find 4th gear. It has 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 5th but nothing in 4th. Could it be a detente or shaft problem.

    My Speedo just started acting up I have a 2001 FLHT all stock my Speedo kind of works but won't read over 45 or even when I know I'm going faster it's like when it get to 45 or so its stuck.
