Harley Fuel Pump

QuestionMy 1998 Flhtci Harley fuel pump whines at start up. Do I need to replace it? Bike also shuts down after 10 min. I wait 4 min start back up and runs all day.

Answer Sounds like a failing Harley fuel pump. If it is the original pump, it is probably overdue to be changed. Have the motorcycle’s fuel pressure tested to know for sure.

I have a 1996 Electra Glide Classic (fuel injected) and need to remove the fuel pump and possibly replace it and the fuel gauge sending unit. Do you have a video that covers this project?

My 1998 FLHTCU-I had a recall on the ignition switch that would heat up and shut the engine off . After a short cool down it would start and run for different lengths of time before happening again .
