Harley Davidson EFI Fuel Leak
Thanks, Greg
A:Greg, this may be due to a bad fuel regulator. First thing we would suggest is to test for a Harley Davidson EFI fuel leak. You should be able to rent the fuel adapter that you will need from the dealer. If you have the adapter, you can use just about any fuel pressure gauge. The fuel pressure should remain steady 55-62 psi at any rpm. If your fuel pressure reading is correct, we would head towards the possibility of a bad injector.

hello I have a 08 efi xl 1200c sometimes during constant acceleration I will loose a cylinder I notice if I roll the throttle or downshift it will kick back on and run regular. Its happens during every long or short ride it comes and goes no real pattern just under constant throttle mostly on highway riding. I have changed plugs/wires and only have 5k miles but I bought it used and put in a K&N replacement air filter stock air cleaner. I believe the exhaust has been upgraded. Its a California bike and there's no evap canister. I thinkings it's either the injectors or the Tmap sensor. Any thoughts? I'd appreciate any help you could provide. Thanks Josh T. NorCal
