2003 Harley Roadking. Engine won’t start, has spark but intake to carb blows air out instead of sucking. Where do I start to troubleshoot?

You have to be absolutely certain that you have spark. If you do, move on and verify weather or not you are getting fuel. See if you can pull up any trouble codes. If you have spark & gas, try a compression test.

Ticket 20447 Hi gentlemen. My 99 Road King with an efi twin cam won’t start and it’s blowing out at the intake instead of sucking in after sitting for 6 years. Valves are fully opening and closing and although compression reads 0 in the front and 25 in the rear, it still blows my finger off of the spark plug hole. I’m gonna try a different compression gauge today but what would make air blow out of the throttle body?
Ticket 20446 Hi Guys I have removed my original CV40 carburettor from my Harley Davidson twin cam 2003 and replace it with brand new Mikuni 42. I have put in new manifold gasket new air filter and new spark plugs. The Mikuni carburettor is as it come. (No adjustment whatsoever.) There is good spark, enough pressure, fuel is splashing in when twist the throttle. HOWEVER it want start – (I am now recharging battery 3rd time.) Where I am going wrong??? Greetings John
