Broken Stator Hardware

Question for Fix My Hog My stator is bad and bought a new one. While I was setting torque on the fastener, I broke three and was able to take one off. The other two our in the top of the stator. It’s impossible to take off and tried everything for the last two weeks. My question is: can I only use two fastener on the stator to hold it with locknut or two mush pressure on the two fastener and will eventually brake?

Fix My Hog Answers We would not recommend trying to secure with only 2 screws. We would suggest drilling & extracting the broken hardware. You should be able to use a steel insert or heli coil to complete the repair.

I'm replacing my stator, can't seem to get my rotor off, seems I can slide it half way off the shaft then it wants to spring back, i'm pretty sure my stator burned out do you think some of the windings are stuck on something? Stan
