Blown Fuse

Q: I have 2007 H.D. ultra classic, I took the fairing off to service forks and put it back together now the fuel pump does not turn on and bike does not start. I found a fuse blown out and replaced it but keeps doing the same thing. Do you have any idea where should I start for trouble shooting?

A: Adam, if you already found a blown fuse, you have already isolated the problem. You did not mention which fuse was blown. With that information, I could tell you more. Removing the fairing, again, may be inevitable. Without knowing which fuse is blown; I would first tell you to check the wiring harness and connecting plugs related to the right side handle bar switch. When you toggle to “Run”, does the engine icon appear in the speedo? If not, this would also be an indication that you should check what I had mentioned.

    Have a 2021 street glide still under manufacturer warranty. My bike keeps blowing 5amp battery fuse. Dealership could not get to duplicate so told me that there's nothing they can do. Got it back after them having it 2weeks and 2nd day it blows it. Please help
